Frequently asked questions
What people ask before they join, and a few things worth knowing afterwards.
Registration
What is the difference between individual membership and a company package?
Individual membership buys access: you can search the register and send enquiries to any listed organisation. A company package puts your organisation into the register, with a profile, products and services, and an inbox for enquiries. A person at a member company usually wants both — the company package for the listing, individual membership for themselves.
Do I need an account to search the directory?
No. The directory and every organisation profile are public and indexable, because a register nobody can read is not much of a register. You need membership to send an enquiry, to save a shortlist, or to compare organisations side by side.
Why do you send a passcode before the registration form?
A listing is only worth reading if the contact on it is reachable, and an enquiry from an unverified address wastes the recipient's time. Verifying first also means we are not holding half-finished registrations from addresses that do not exist.
Can I register without a work email address?
Company accounts need an address on the company domain — it is how the organisation is confirmed. Individual membership accepts any address, and Student membership expects an institutional one, which is often a free provider.
What happens after I register my company?
Registration creates the account. Two stages follow: completing the profile — products, services, facilities, project references and the verification documents — and booking the package. The listing goes live once verification is complete and the invoice is settled.
Verification
What does the verified badge actually mean?
That a verification executive checked documents across five areas: company registration, business documents, certifications, products and services, and facility information. It is not an endorsement of quality or a guarantee of performance — it means the claims on the profile were evidenced.
How long does verification take?
The median is around four weeks from a complete submission. Incomplete files take much longer, because the clock effectively stops while a case sits with the supplier waiting for a document.
What if a certificate expires?
A lapsed certificate shows as lapsed on the profile rather than quietly passing as valid. Verification can be withdrawn if the evidence behind it no longer holds, and the listing comes down until it is restored.
Can buyers be verified too?
Buyer accounts are confirmed against the company domain and a named procurement contact rather than going through the full supplier document workflow. The supplier verification process exists because a buyer is deciding whether to spend money on the strength of those claims.
Packages
How much does it cost?
Package pricing is set by the India Nuclear Forum rather than published on the site, and is confirmed before any payment is taken. Nothing is charged when you register or book — the invoice follows.
What are nominated members?
Colleagues at your organisation who get their own sign-in and INF membership under the company package. Startup includes two, SME five, Corporate eight. They can manage listings and answer enquiries.
Can I change package later?
Yes, in either direction, from the portal. A downgrade that would exceed the new listing limit asks you which listings to unpublish rather than choosing for you.
Is there a trial?
A 30-day trial is available on the Startup package. It converts to an annual term unless cancelled.
Enquiries
Who can send an enquiry?
Any individual member, at any tier, and any registered organisation. An enquiry carries the sender's identity and organisation, so the recipient can judge whether to reply.
Can suppliers approach buyers, or only the other way around?
Both. The register holds buyer and supplier organisations alike, and several buyers publish live requirements specifically so that qualified suppliers can approach them.
What stops the platform filling up with bulk enquiries?
Enquiries are attributable, suppliers can report them, and accounts that generate volume without substance are suspended — there is at least one in the register now. Volume is not the point of the platform.
Data
Who can see my organisation's profile?
Anyone, once it is published. That is the purpose of a directory. Visibility is separate from verification, so you can be verified and still unlisted while you work on the profile, or listed and not yet verified.
Can I take my listing down?
Yes, from the portal, at any time, without cancelling the package. The profile stops appearing in the directory and in search.
What do you do with my data?
Profile information is published, which is the point. Contact details, documents and enquiry threads are not sold, and verification documents are seen only by the verification team. The privacy policy sets this out in full.
